Taking the YMCA from a Place to a Purpose

Our Mission

The Y is more than a fitness center; it’s a community hub promoting healthier minds, bodies, and spirits. Our dedicated staff and volunteers foster youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. With facility updates coming and diverse programs for all ages, there’s truly something for everyone at your Pittsburg Family Y.

Updates & Improvements

We’ve made significant improvements to our facility, including updates to the pool and roof repairs for enhanced safety. Our partnership with a cleaning service ensures a cleaner environment. Upcoming upgrades include faster Wi-Fi and enhanced technology. In the works, we’re finishing the fitness center floors and replacing showers in the men’s locker room.

Events

Exciting events are on the horizon at your Y! Look for a Parents Evening Out, allowing parents an evening off while kids enjoy games and activities. Plus, don’t miss our festive holiday events for the whole family. Check our website regularly for flyers and details on all upcoming activities!

Youth Development

We believe that all children deserve the opportunity to learn new things, discover their talents and prepare for adulthood. Our Youth Development programs are designed to nurture the potential of future generations by cultivating values, skills, and relationships.

Healthy Living

As the largest nonprofit provider of healthy living programs in the state, we support families and individuals of all ages and abilities in their pursuit of a healthy life. Our evidence-based programs utilize best practices and work to prevent chronic disease. The Pittsburg Family YMCA serves a unique group of members and intentionally reduces barriers to access by providing financial assistance to those who qualify.

Social Responsibility

The Pittsburg Family YMCA is an inclusive organization open to all. We believe that in a diverse world we are stronger when we are inclusive. When our doors are open to all, everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. We focus on volunteerism, advocacy and social services to do our part in strengthening our communities
